Irupu has been my best destination so far.... i have visited so many waterfalls but what we did here will be in our memories
for long...
The drive to Irupu was equally eventful the road was a bit good a bit bad but good enough... so we reached there parked
our bikes and went inside .. well again its a nice family picnic spot but our enthusiasm made all the difference...
we enjoyed a bit in the main fall, actually you have a bridge made of bamboos using which you can go directly under the
falls and enjoy it but we wanted more fun, so we decided to trek .....
we started our way up and really it was one of the most scariest treks i ever had it was more of rock climbing, most of
the time taking support of the roots and rocks and at times praying that roots will hold for a time long enough for us to
pass, we started our way up, then we reached Irupu - 2 tht was awesome the force of the water was awesome and there was sand
as base so you could go directly under that fall and enjoy .. the water was cold and very refreshing after enjoying there
we started our way up again and risks started to increase, with fallen woods here and there and no place to have support we
has to rely on our body friction to avoid that slipping, one mistake and oopss you are gone, but cautiously we continued to
trk taking breaks and finally we reached at the top of the mountain discovering on the way Four more Irupu's... we finally
found the river flowing as a stream....
we then realized our mistake, actually we had entered into a widlife sanctury, we even found elephant dung near tht stream
which meant there were elephants who used to come to stream for drinking water even there were leaches all around.. we started
to get down which was even more fearful as gravity this time increased our acceleration, but gradually and cautiously we went
down, tired but full of the experience we had, we did a good team work as well shelping each one of our frnds while going
down... when we reached down our fears were confirmed we actaully had trekked our way into Nagarhole Sanctury five Kms away
(road route) and known for leopards, elephants ahem ahem.
we had our lunch and we were all too tired so we decided drop the nagarhole plans and head for bangalore.....Home Beckons
